Google Glass extended its Explorer program and launched them for sale to general public in the US yesterday. The company has today released an update to the Android MyGlass app.
With the latest 3.0 update, MyGlass App gets the facility to send places from Google Maps to Glass through the “Share” button. The device will automatically receive the directions and start navigating. Also changed is a refreshed UI that puts Glassware at the center. One of the new features is the ability to enter WiFi passwords without scanning the QR code.
The update has been rolled out to Google Play Store but can be downloaded by only Google Glass users. Google Glass has already received quite a few updates like Android KitKat 4.4 and SMS and calender support for iPhone. Earlier this month, there were reports suggesting that Glass will soon get Google Wallet integration.
