Sony Xperia Z3 Compact appears at the FCC

Yesterday we saw more photos of the Sony Xperia Z3 compact that put more focus on camera and the body of the phone. Today, the phone has paid a visit to the FCC and is listed under the IDs PM-0810 and PM-0812.

The PM-0810 comes with support for LTE bands 2, 4, 5, 7, 13, and 17, which suggests the device is targeted for international markets while the second variant comes with support for LTE Band 5 and 7, which should launch on US carriers. Both models have been confirmed in the FCC filing to arrive with GSM/WCDMA/LTE connectivity, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, ANT+ and NFC support.

Unfortunately, the FCC did not list any specifications or internal hardware of the Xperia Z3 Compact. The latest image leak showed that the the phone will have a 1/2.3-inch 20.7MP Exmor RS sensor along with flash. It will likely sport a 4.5-inch display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels,  a quad-core Snapdragon SoC with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage on board, with a microSD card support for expansion. Other specs state  a dedicated camera button on one side and a single flap on the other, which houses both the micro USB port and the microSD card slot.

Sony is expected to announced the phone at IFA Berlin next month.
