Samsung announced the Galaxy Alpha last month after a series of leaks, rumors and reports. The phone has an attractive design and is 6.7mm slim that makes its even slimmer than the iPhone 5 and 5S.

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) Super AMOLED display, powered by a Octa-Core Exynos (1.8GHz Quad + 1.3GHz Quad) processor. Brightness and contrast ratio on the screen is very good which is mostly seen with Super Amoled displays.
The design of the phone resembles to that of the iPhone 5S especially because of its metal frame that is ringed entirely around the phone. It has the same polished round edges as the iPhone that gives it an attractive look.
The back of the phone is plastic and has patterned surface with faux leather cover similar to Galaxy S5. There is a 12MP rear camera with LED Flash, 4K Video recording. Also seen to the left of the camera is the heart rate sensor that shows your heartbeats by simply placing your finger on it.
On the right hand side we have the power button that is made of aluminium.
The 3.5 audio jack is present at the top and two lines at either end is for antena to deliver pure radio performance.
Micro USB port and speaker grills are seen at the bottom.
On the left we have the volume rockers.
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha runs on latest Android KitKat 4.4 has 2GB RAM, 32GB internal memory. There is no micro USB for expandable memory. A 1860 mAh battery is seen on the phone.
The phone has a Finger Scanner for a secure, biometric screen locking feature and mobile payments. Other apps like S Health, S Voice and Samsung’s TouchWiz launcher with My Magazine reader make for a familiar user experience. A new selection of wallpapers and some tweaked home screen widgets are also added to the phone.
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha comes in Charcoal Black, Dazzling White, Frosted Gold, Sleek Silver and Scuba Blue colors and would go on sale across 150 countries globally starting this September.
