Back in August OnePlus said that it’s looking for an executive who could lead its operations in India. Recently the company has announced that it has appointed Vikas Agarwal as the manger of OnePlus India. Regarding his new appointment, the new GM, Vikas Agarwal, said,
I have managed large teams at major global corporations and also co-founded and bootstrapped my own e-commerce startup. My career thus far has allowed me to work on everything from finance to business development, customer support and even real-estate, experience I will be sure to draw upon as we build and grow a local Indian OnePlus operation.
We are placing great importance on the role OnePlus India will play in the larger global corporation. Indian users are smart and demand the best from their technology. It is our belief that entering the Indian market will force us to be better just to keep up with your expectations.
In an interview back in September, Carl Pei, director, OnePlus global said to us that the company plans to introduce the 64GB variant of the OnePlus One to India at a price tag of under Rs. 25,000. The One Plus One is expected to launch in India by December. Exact launch date is not available yet.
