Uber has launched UberGO, a low-cost Uber service cheaper than the UberX in India. Uber entered India last year with its UberBLACK service and launched its UberX service back in June. The base fare for UberGO is just Rs.20 or Rs. 40 depending on the city. Rate per minute and kilometer are also cheaper in UberGO compared to UberX. It is now available in all the 10 cities where Uber is operational, across India that includes, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and Pune.
UberGO has mid-range cars such as Etios Liva, Maruti Ritz, Tata Indica Vista, Maruti Suzuki Swift etc. Uber has partnered with Huawei that provides smartphones for the UberGo drivers to connect to the Uber app, instead of iPhones in the UberBLACK and the UberX. Check out the UberX rates in India.

Uber is also offering 25% or 35% discount on regular fare as a launch offer in select cities. This will be automatically applied to your uberGO rides. First time Uber users can use the promo code UBERGO-INDIA to get Rs. 400 off on their first uberGo ride. You can use uberGO in the same app that now has a new option to select UberBLACK, UberX or UberGo. This will definitely give a tough competition to Olacabs, Meru Cabs and TaxiForSure in India.
