Google Translate’s next update to have WordLens integration and conversation mode

Google Translate’s upcoming update will add WordLens integration. For those unaware, WordLens is an app which translates visual into texts without a network connection.

Acquired by Google earlier in May this year, WordLens uses smartphone’s camera to translate printed words from one language to another in real time. Currently, WordLens supports the languages like English, Russian, Portuguese, German, Italian, French, and Spanish.  The translations can go to or from English, but English has to be one of the languages.

In addition, the Google Translate update will also get auto-detection for conversation mode. With the help of this feature, the app will listen out to conversations held between you and the other person. Users will be able to choose the languages involved in the conversations. Both the updates look promising and will further enhance Google Translate features. It is not known as to when will Google release these update.
