HTC announced the Desire EYE in October last year, which went on sale in December. The selfie focused smartphone has a 13MP front facing camera. The phone sports a as a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display with Corning Gorilla glass 3 protection and is powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor. Running on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with new HTC Sense UI, it has a 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory and expandable memory up to 128GB.
It has a 13MP front-facing camera with dual LED Flash, f/2.0, 22mm wide-angle lens. It also has proximity sensors and a microphone.
It has on screen touch buttons and has Dual Front facing BoomSound Speakers.
On the right side we can see the volume rockers and power button.
A dedicated camera button is also present on the right side. The phone measures 151.7 x 73.8 x 8.5 mm and weighs 154 grams.
It has microphone and micro USB port at the bottom.
The 3.5mm audio jack is present on the top.
The left side of the phone sports the nano SIM and microSD card slots.
The phone has a uni-body build and comes with IPX7 ratings for water resistance. It has matte polycarbonate back and the HTC branding is seen in the middle.
It has a 13MP rear camera with dual LED Flash, f/2.0, 28mm lens, 1080p HD recording.
The HTC Desire Eye has a 2400 mAh built-in battery and supports connectivity options like 4G LTE/ 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4 and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX codec, NFC and GPS with GLONASS.
