Alcatel has announced the OneTouch IDOL 3 smartphone at MWC 2015. Available in two sizes – 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch, the unique feature of the phone is that it is “reversible” and users can speak when the top side is down.
The reversible feature allows the interface to adjust whether you pick up the phone upside down or right-side up. The IDOL 3 also features JBL audio with two front-facing speakers and Clari-Fi technology and technicolor Color Enhance technology. The smaller variant of the IDOL 3 sports a 4.7-inch display with 1280×720 resolution and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor. Running Android 5.0, Lollipop, it comes with 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage that can be expandable upto128GB with MicroSD. The phone has 13MP rear and 5MP front facing camera while the battery on this one is 2000mAh. The smaller variant measures measuring 134.6 x 65.9 x 7.55mm.
The larger variant has a 5.5-inch display with 1920×1080 resolution and is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor. Also running Android 5.0 Lollipop it has 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage can be expandable upto128GB with MicroSD. It also has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front shooter and battery is 2910mAh. This larger variant measure 152.7 x 75.14 x 7.4mm.
Both versions of the handsets come in dual SIM versions. There’s no word of an exact price or release date quite yet, but we’ll be sure to update you when we get that information.
