Xiaomi has introduced new 55-inch Mi TV 2, a year after introducing the first Mi TV 2 with a 49-inch 4K display. The new Mi TV 2 has a 55-inch (3840 x 2160 pixels) 4K display from Samsung with 178-degree viewing angle. It is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core MStar 6A928 Cortex-A17 processor, has 2GB RAM and supports a range of apps from the Mi Store. It lacks microSD slot that was present on the 49-inch Mi TV 2. Xiaomi introduced 40-inch 1080p Mi TV 2 last week.
It supports H.265 10-bit hardware video decoding, Dolby MS12 virtual surround sound and has automatic volume adjustment. It also includes a 80W wireless subwoofer that has aluminum build and and 8 speakers Soundbar.

The new Xiaomi Mi TV 2 (55″) is priced at 4999 Chinese Yuan (US$ 806 / Rs. 50,440 approx.). It will go on sale in China on April 8th, but currently there are no details about its global roll out.
