Asus announced the Zenfone 2 at CES 2015 in January. The company will launch the Zenfone 2 in three variants in India on April 23rd. We recently saw the unboxing of the Zenfone 2 ZE551ML that has a 4GB RAM, now let’s take a detailed look at the spec and hardware of the phone in detail.
The Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML sports a 5.5-inch ( 1920 x 1080 pixels) display with Corning gorilla glass 3 protection and is powered by 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor with PowerVR G6430 GPU. Running Android 5.0 Lollipop, it has 4GB RAM, 32GB internal memory and expandable memory via micro SD.
It has a 5MP front facing camera along with earpiece at the center and ASUS branding.
Three capacitive buttons for back, home and multitasking are present below the display.
The power button and 3.5mm audio jack is present on the top along with microphone.
Micro USB port is present at the bottom with the microphone. The phone measures 152.5 x 77.2 x 10.9mm and weighs 170g.
Asus has taken a cue from LG as the volume rockers are situated at the back below the camera lens. There is a 13MP rear camera with Real Tone LED flash and f/2.0 aperture.
The Zenfone 2 has a removable plastic back cover with Asus branding at the center. Also seen is the Intel and Zenfone branding at the lower back along with the loudspeaker grill.
Underneath the back cover there is a micro SD card and two SIM card slots. Also present is built in 3000mAh built-in battery. We will bring you the benchmarks, gaming review and more soon.
