Asus ZenPad 7, ZenPad 8 tablets leaked ahead of Computex 2015 launch next month

Asus is reportedly developing a new ZenPad tablet series that will replace its MeMoPad and FonePad tablets. Company’s CEO Jerry Shen is said to unveil this series next month at Computex 2015.

While we wait for official details from Asus, the alleged two Asus ZenPad tablets – rumoured as Asus ZenPad 7 and Asus ZenPad 8 – have been spotted on some online stores in Russia and US FCC database.

The Asus ZenPad 7 will come in two variants Wi-Fi (Z170C) and Wi-Fi/3G (Z170CG), first spotted by Russian blog Notebookitalia. In terms of specifications, they both Asus ZenPad 7 tablets will feature 7-inch IPS screens with 1024×600 pixel resolutions, a 64-bit Intel Atom x3 chipset, 1GB of RAM, 2-megapixel rear camera, 0.3-megapixel front facing camera and a 3,950mAh battery. Both tablets will come with 8GB and 16GB internal storage configurations along with microSD card slot for further expansion.

According to pre-order details on the Russian stores, the ZenPad 7 (Z170C) will be available in July for EUR 139 (approximately RS. 10,000/ $158) and the 3G variant ZenPad (Z170CG) at EUR 159 (approximately RS. 11,500/ $180)

Coming to the 8-inch Asus Zenpad, the tablet has passed through FCC certification. The ASUS ZenPad 8 (P01M), according to FCC database, features an 8-inch display with a 2048×1536 pixel resolution. The processor options are likely to be an Intel Atom Z3560 or Z3530. Other than that the ZenPad 8 will sport 2GB of RAM and will come in 8/16/32/64GB configurations for internal storage.
