LINE Corporation, popular for its LINE messenger has launched Popcorn Buzz, a new group calling app for Android. This free app allows up to 200 participants to simultaneously converse. It is a perfect replacement for existing paid business-grade conference call services, says the company.
You can start using Popcorn Buzz simply by choosing a username and uploading a profile picture. Once set up, you can create a group and send each group call’s unique URL via email, text message, other apps. If you have a LINE account, you can log in to Popcorn Buzz immediately and synchronize friends list data and start making group calls with your LINE friends right away.
Highlights of Popcorn Buzz for Android
- Free Group Calls – Talk with up to 200 people at the same time, for free.
- Easy Invitations – Invite anyone simply by sending them a URL or invite your LINE friends when you log in with LINE.
- See Who’s Talking – You can tell who’s talking at a glance via the green dots that light up in the lower right-hand corner of current talking users’ icons
The app will be available for iPhone soon and the Android app will get new features such as group video chat, inter connectivity with LINE groups, and more in the future.
