OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has announced that that the much-awaited OnePlus 2 will be priced under $450. The device is scheduled to launch at a virtual reality event on July 27.
The company on its official Twitter account tweeted out an image noting a quote from its CEO Pete Lau, which reads, “I can promise that the OnePlus 2 will be priced under 450 USD.”
The tweet reads, “We’ve seen price estimates for the #OnePlus2 upwards of $500. ‘Honestly, it’s never been about the price’.“
The company has already revealed that the OnePlus 2 smartphone will be powered by improved Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 SoC, will feature a USB Type-C connector and most advanced fingerprint sensors which is faster than Apple’s TouchID.
Other details are yet to unfold officially on July 27th at 7:00 PM PT (July 28th 7:30 AM IST).
