The Blackphone 2 will be the company’s first product for the program, as it looks to offer customizable solutions while still focusing on privacy and security. Android for Work that was officially announced in February this year comes with enterprise apps that support the increasing trend of “BYOD,” or “bring your own device”. Google claims that Android for Work is currently under testing, in deployment, or actively being used by 10,000 businesses.

“Privacy is about being able to decide and control what information to share and how you share it. We’re delighted to join the Android for Work program.  It’s a significant step forward in Silent Circle’s development which enables us to deliver privacy and security to a broader enterprise customer base, while meeting their need for the wide-ranging apps and services provided by Google.”
President and CEO of Silent Circle.
