Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL smartphones were briefly listed on official Microsoft Store (Via) in the UK before it was removed. This confirms the name of upcoming high-end smartphones. The listing also confirms 5.2-inch and 5.7 Quad HD (1440×2560 pixels) displays for the phones, 20-megapixel rear camera with ZEISS optics, 32GB of internal storage with expandable memory up to 2TB with microSD and Windows 10. It doesn’t reveal the price of the smartphones.
Images in the listing also matches earlier renders. Microsoft Lumia 950 is rumored to pack Snapdragon 808 SoC, 3GB of RAM and a 3000mAh battery. The Lumia 950 XL is rumored to pack Snapdragon 810 SoC, 3GB of RAM and a 3300mAh battery. Both the smartphones are expected to come with Iris scanner (infrared) for Windows Hello, USB Type-C port and Qi wireless charging with flip cover.
Microsoft Windows 10 devices event is scheduled for October 6th, Tuesday and starts at 10:00 am EDT (7:30 PM IST). Microsoft is also expected to introduce Surface 4 Pro with 6th Gen Intel Skylake processor, Windows Hello based biometric login and new Microsoft Band 2 with a new design at the event.
