Last month, it was reported that Apple Music has over 10 million subscribers. Now, Apple executives Eddy Cue and Craig Federighi have confirmed that the music streaming service has more than 11 million subscribers.
The duo confirmed the latest milestone for Apple Music in an episode of John Gruber’s podcast “The Talk Show”. Apple expanded the Apple Music to Android in November last year. Apple Music was built on music streaming service Beats Music that was acquired by Apple for $3 billion in 2014. Currently live in over 100 countries across the globe, Apple Music offers more than 30 million songs along with 24×7 Beats 1 Radio. The service that costs $9.99 per month, offers handpicked recommendations by music experts based on what you already listen to and love.
Besides revealing the total number of Apple Music subscribers, Eddy Cue and Craig Federighi also stated that Apple has 782 million iCloud users on more than 1 billion Apple devices. These users are uploading billions of photos to iCloud every week. Moving on, the duo even revealed that Apple’s iMessage users send 200,000 messages per second and there are 750 million transactions per week via iTunes and the App Store.
