Google CEO Sundar Pichai had announced in January that the Google I/O 2016 will take place between 18th-20th May at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California. Now, the I/O 2016 site has gone live and is offering all the necessary information about how to attend the event.
Google says that registration for the I/O 2016 developer conference will kick start on March 8th and will remain open until March 10th. Similar to previous years, the company will select applicants randomly after the registration period is up. A general admission tickets costs $900 while an academic admission tickets cost $300. Selected applicants will get an email from Google with more details. Applicants can only buy one ticket if selected and can request a refund at any point up to April 29th.
The I/O conference is typically a platform where Google unveils the latest version of Android and the various features and improvements it brings with it. Google will also have a live stream of the event dubbed as I/O Live. It will be interesting to see what Google will showcase this year, though we can expect Android N, upgrades to Android Wear and more.
