Google Maps for Android has received an update (via) that lets you add multi waypoint directions to your desired destination for easier navigation. The latest update bumps the app to version 9.31.2
This essentially means, you can now add multiple destinations in Maps at the time of searching for a specific direction. This feature is already available on Maps for desktop and is now expanding to mobile. You will get new plus icon underneath the directions field in Maps. This will let you get directions from point A to point B to point C to point D and so on.
Prior to this update, you could only get directions from point A to point B on mobile while using the Android app. The latest update is from server side and hence will be automatically added to the app and users will not have to manually update it.
