Meizu today announced MX6 flagship smartphone in China at an event. We are live at the event and got our hands on the phone. Let’s take a detailed look at hardware and specs of the phone in this photo gallery.
The MX6 sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) LCD display and is powered by a 2.3GHz GHz MediaTek Helio X20 Deca-Core 64-bit processor with ARM Mali-T880 GPU. Running Flyme OS 5.2 based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), it comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.
There is a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, earpiece and usual set of proximity and ambient light sensors.
A physical home button is present on the bezel below the display. It comes equipped with a mTouch 2.1 fingerprint recognition technology that can unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds and can be used for payments using Alipay and WeChat.
The right side of the phone houses power/lock button and volume rockers.
There is a secondary microphone on the top. The phone measures 153.6x 75.2x 7.25mm and weighs 155g.
A 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type C port and loud speaker grills are present at the bottom.
The Meizu MX6 has a unibody metal design with antenna bands on top and bottom. The Meizu branding is also present at the center.
There is a 12 MP camera on the back with dual tone LED Flash, Sony IMX386 sensor, 6P lenses, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and 4K video recording.
Connectivity options on the phone include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS. It comes with 3060mAh battery with support for fast charging.
The Meizu MX6 also comes with a Life Jack protective cover with circular cutout for the smartphone for 79 yuan (US$ 12 / Rs. 790 approx.).
The phone comes in Gray, Silver, Gold and Pink colors and is priced at 1999 yuan (US$298 / Rs. 20,040 approx.)
