HTC has announced financial results for Q2 2016. The Taiwanese smartphone maker has recorded 27% increase in revenue over last quarter to NT$18.9 billion ($598 million).
HTC reported NT$4.2 billion ($133 million USD) operating loss while the net loss after tax was NT$3.1 billion. HTC 10 and HTC Vive helped the company boos its revenue this quarter. The company expects to gain further momentum with HTC 10 sales in second half of the year as well.
HTC did not reveal the number of Vive units it sold. It sold off some land in Taoyuan for NT$1bn, which helped to cut the operating loss.
CEO Cher Wang said,
In the space of one year, we have re-imagined the company, reclaimed our top spot for innovation, and demonstrated solid execution across our major product lines. I believe that HTC has regained its innovative zeal and is looking ahead with confidence and ingenuity.
