The phone is called as DTEK 50 because it uses a DTEK app which is an extra security software that BlackBerry started adding to its phone when it opened up the platform for third-party app stores.
It encrypts all users’ information, including business critical data and personal data and is FIPS 140-2 Compliant. The software provides users with visibility and control over which apps get access to personal info or device features such as the microphone or camera.
Talking about the specifications, the BlackBerry DTEK 50 sports a 5.2-inch Full HD display, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 617 processor, has 3GB of RAM, 16GB of inbuilt memory, Moreover, the company also provides an option to expand your memory up to 2TB via microSD card slot.
On the camera front, this smartphone has a 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and 8MP front camera with single LED flash. This smartphone is shipped with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. It is already available across India.
