The model S and X has version is 8.0, which was rolled out two months back, with a slew of features including always-on max temperature setting, new radar features and much more.

With this 8.1 update, the vehicle will achieve the top-rated Level 5 autonomy, a rating that is considered safer than vehicles operated by human drivers. Thanks to the high computer’s processing power and 8 cameras and a slew of ultrasonic sensors that directs the vehicle to drive on its own.
