NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is the company’s fastest graphics card yet, priced at $699

NVIDIA has announced GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, the company’s top-end gaming graphics card that it claims to be the world’s fastest gaming GPU. It is based on the company’s Pascal architecture and is built on TSMC’s 16nm FinFET process, same as the GTX 1080 that was introduced last year.  It has support for DirectX 12, Vulkan graphics APIs and is designed to drive display devices beyond 5K including HDR as well as delivering the performance required for immersive VR as well as NVIDIA G-SYNC HDR and NVIDIA GameWorks for interactive, cinematic experiences accompanied by incredibly smooth gameplay.

NVIDIA says that it has used a new high-airflow thermal solution with vapor chamber cooling, 2x the airflow area and a power architecture featuring a seven-phase power design with 14 high-efficiency dualFETs for a superior heat dissipation.

The NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti is priced at $699 (Rs. 46,650 approx.) for the Founders Edition and will be available worldwide on March 10, from NVIDIA GeForce partners, including ASUS, Colorful, EVGA, Gainward, Galaxy, Gigabyte, Innovision 3D, MSI, Palit, PNY and Zotac. No details about the pricing for India yet.
