The Apple TV 4K is powered by A10X Fusion chip, the same chip that powers iPad Pro for a clear 4K HDR experience. It supports HDR or High Dynamic Range videos from Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, HDR10 and Dolby Vision. “The high-performance 4K video scaler makes HD content look better than ever on a 4K TV,” says Apple.
4K HDR offers sharp, crisp images, richer, more true-to-life colors, and far greater detail in both dark and bright scenes. iTunes users get automatic upgrades of HD titles in their existing iTunes library to 4K HDR versions when they become available.
On the back there is a familiar Built-in power supply, HDMI and Gigabit Ethernet ports.
It has WiFi 802.11ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz) with MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0 and IR receiver.
It also brings new Siri Remote with a new white circle around the menu button. It has Bluetooth 4.0 as well as IR transmitter. It has a touch surface on the front and uses lightning connector for charging, similar to the predecessor. The new remote also captures motion data for altitude and rotation rate.
