Lenovo introduces ThinkPad T, X and L series laptops, Tablet 10 and ThinkPad Docking Station

Lenovo ahead of the CES 2018 event has introduced new ThinkPad T, X and L series laptops, Tablet 10 and ThinkPad Docking Station. The ThinkPad series laptops come with thinner and lighter designs with 8th Generation Intel Core processors with the support for Windows Hello Facial Recognition.

The ThinkPad series includes T, X and L series laptops and the ThinkPad L Series features company’s Yoga design with 13” displays. The ThinkPad L series includes L380 Yoga, ThinkPad L380, ThinkPad L480, and L580 laptops and they are termed as the business machines by the company.

The L-series Yoga laptops feature compact 13-inch form factor and are available in 14 and 15-inches size. It also offers optional multi-touch displays and is powered by the 8th Gen Intel Core processors with AMD graphics on the ThinkPad L580 model.

The ThinkPad T-series is focused on the performance hence they are powered by the powerful 8th Gen Intel Core processors. The T-series line-up features IR camera, fingerprint reader and ThinkShutter Camera Privacy to protect valuable user data. The T580 packs a UHD display and delivers up to up to 27 hours of battery life

The ThinkPad X-series includes X380 and X280 models of which the X380 is the premium model. The X-series is mainly focused on the durability as they are functional even in most inhospitable places. The high-end X380 features Active Pen and secure access with IR camera and Windows Hello. The X280 is 20% lighter at 2.5 pounds and 15% thinner at 17.4mm compared to its predecessor. Thanks to rapid charge, the laptop can charge up to 80% 60 minutes and offers up to 16.6 hours of battery life.

Apart from the ThinkPad laptops, the company has also introduced the Lenovo Tablet 10 which is a 2-in-1 detachable powered by Intel Celeron N Series processor and packs fingerprint reader and discrete Trusted Platform Module for business-class protection. The company claims that it can deliver up to 9 hours of battery life. The Lenovo Tablet 10 will be available from January 2018, and the pricing will be revealed later.

Lenovo has also announced the ThinkVision X24 and P32u Premium Monitors. The X24 features a Full HD display, while the P32u rocks a UHD 4K near-edgeless display and has Thunderbolt 3 In and Out ports for connectivity. The final one in the list is the ThinkPad Docking Station with the one-touch slide-to-connect mechanism. The docking station can accommodate 12, 14 and 15-inch laptops and provides connectivity options and keylock security for physical asset protection.

Pricing and Availability:

  • ThinkPad X280 starts at $999 (Rs. 63,357.08 approx.) and the X380 Yoga starts at $1,459 (Rs.92,530.51 approx.), both available from January 2018.
  • ThinkPad T480 starts at $989 (Rs.62,707.05 approx.), T480s starts at $1,269 (Rs.80,480.61 approx.) and T580 starts at $1,079 (Rs.68,416.69), all available starting January 2018.
  • ThinkPad L380 Yoga starts at $549 (Rs.34,809.07 approx.), L380 starts at $449 (Rs.28,468.40), L480 starts at $779 (Rs.49,392.11 approx.) and L580 starts at $769 (Rs.48,760.37). Available from February 2018.
  • ThinkPad Docking Station will be available from January in three different models; basic 90W at $199 (Rs.12,618.09 approx.), Pro 135W at $249 (Rs. 15,788.47 approx.) and Ultra 135W at $299 (Rs. 18,957.95 approx).
  • ThinkVision X24 will be available from January 2018 at $249 (Rs. 15,788.47 approx.)ThinkVision P32u will be available from March 2018 at $1,349 (Rs. 85536.72 approx.).
