Alcatel showcased a new mid-tier smartphone, the Alcatel 3V last week at the CES 2018. However, the company didn’t disclose the actual tech specifications of the smartphone, except for the 18:9 aspect ratio screen. Thanks to tipster Roland Quandt, now we have the complete information about the Alcatel 3V, which is likely to go official in Europe for 179 Euros (US$ 218 / Rs. 13,990 approx.) .The glass sandwich design is the head-turner of this smartphone and the dual cameras is like icing on the cake.
Like most of the modern smartphones, the Alcatel 3V offers 2160x1080p FHD+ IPS LCD screen, protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top. Under the hood, the smartphone runs on a Quad-core processor from MediaTek (MT6737T), coupled with 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot.
The optics on the V3 include a dual rear camera setup (16 MP RGB shooter and a 2 MP depth sensing shooter) with portrait mode and 1080p video recording capability. For the selfie camera, the phone packs in an 8 MP fixed focus shooter. The phone does offer dual SIM card slots with 4G LTE and VoLte on both the SIM slots with Bluetooth 4.2 and WiFi (single channel 2.4 GHz).
The phone packs in a decent 3000 mAh Li-ion sealed battery with a micro USB port and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Considering the chipset, the phone is not likely to offer any sort of fast charging capability.
