Motorola Droid series is one of the most successful series of Android smartphones, and it’s also the reason that Motorola is a very strong player in Android. A few months ago, Motorola launched the Droid 2, which is an Android powered phone, with Android 2.2 and 1 GHz processor. Motorola also launched the limited edition Motorola Droid 2 R2-D2 edition, which is an Android powered phone with popular Star Wars character R2-D2 theme. You people may have heard about the Motorola Droid 2 Global Edition, which is a model of Droid 2 with both GSM/CDMA radios. Now our friends over at BGR got their hands on a screenshot which is showing that Motorola Droid 2 Global Edition will come in 2 colors, Black and White, and the phone will run for $199.99 on contract, not bad. Unlike Droid 2, Motorola Droid 2 Global Edition comes with a 1.2 GHz processor, and the phone will be exclusively available at Verizon Wireless soon.
The screenshot also shows the T-Mobile Comet, which is an Android powered phone by Huawei. It’s a low-end phone, so that’s why the phone comes with a price tag of $149.99, and will be able soon at T-Mobile. So are you planning to drop the Droid 2 for the Global Edition?
