PUBG for Xbox finally leaving preview program on Sep 4; PUBG-themed Xbox wireless controller announced

At the Gamescom 2018, Microsoft announced that popular ‘PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG)’ game is now out of preview program and the full product release; 1.0 will be released on September 4th. The full PUBG 1.0 release will include the debut of the Sanhok map; inspired by the islands across Southeast Asia.

The Sanhok map is a 4×4 compact battleground. It will also introduce all-new weapons and vehicles in addition to the debut of dynamic weather that changes for the first time on Xbox One. The 1.0 release will also bring the War Mode on Xbox One where players hunt each other in a static zone, respawning you back in with a parachute and weapons if you’re killed.

There will be the in-game currency to purchase cosmetics, Event Pass: Sanhok, which will allow players to open up more missions, more levels, and tons of permanent rewards on the Sanhok map. The full product release of PUBG for Xbox One will be available in both digital and retail disc versions. The retail boxed version features an all-new colorway of the game’s iconic key art.

The retail disc version will also ship with in-game DLC featuring an exclusive collection of clothing and accessories inspired by Xbox brand colors.  Current owners of the game and new players who purchase the game digitally can download the exclusive Xbox #1.0 Set beginning September 4th. Those who already own PUBG on Xbox will receive a content update with all new content on September 4th in addition to the Xbox #1.0 DLC Set.

lastly, the company is also announcing the PUBG themed Xbox wireless controller. This is available for pre-order beginning and will start shipping to retailers worldwide on Oct. 30. The PUBG themed controller is priced at US$69.99 (Rs. 4,890 approx.). The controller will ship with exclusive DLC themed on the controller design.
