Twitter has been seen making changes to its platform recently and in the same lines, the company has made a new change in the number of accounts that a user can follow every day.
In order to curb bot and spam, Twitter has announced that it has limited the number of accounts that a user can follow from 1000 to 400 per day. With the latest change, Non-verified users can follow up to 400 accounts per day and Verified users can follow up to 1000 per day.
Follow, unfollow, follow, unfollow. Who does that? Spammers. So we’re changing the number of accounts you can follow each day from 1,000 to 400. Don’t worry, you’ll be just fine.

Apart from this, Twitter has applied an overall restriction in the number of accounts a user can follow to 5000 overall. Once a user hits this limit, the user has to wait until the user has more followers before the user can follow additional accounts. However, the number is different for each account and is calculated based on the unique ratio of followers to following.
Once a user hits a follow limit, Twitter will show a message saying “You are unable to follow more people at this time.”. This message can occur when a user has hit the daily follow limit or when a user tries to follow too many accounts quickly. This can also occur if the user hits the follow ratio limit.
