LG UltraGear 27-inch and 38-inch world’s first 1ms gaming monitors with Nano IPS technology and NVIDIA G-SYNC announced


LG has announced its new UltraGear gaming monitor which is the world’s first 1 millisecond IPS display. The gaming monitor comes in two screen sizes i.e., 27-inch and 38-inch and is NVIDIA G-SYNC compatible, supports HDR 10 and more.

The 27-inch UltraGear monitor 27GL850 has a QHD curved display with a 21:9 aspect ratio and has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It features 144Hz refresh rate which is overclockable to 175Hz and has a wide colour gamut. The monitor also supports HDR10 and is NVIDIA G-SYNC compatible. Additionally, LG has added RGB lights on the back of the monitor along with upgraded Sphere Lighting 2.0.

The 38-inch UltraGear Nano IPS monitor which carries the model number 38GL950G, on the other hand, is a UWQHD+ panel with 21:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 3840 x 1600 pixels. This monitor supports both NVIDIA G-SYNC, VESA DisplayHDR 400 and there is 1x HDMI and 1x DisplayPort input each on the 38-inch model while the 27-inch model has 2x HDMI ports and 1x DisplayPort.

Pricing and Availability

LG UltraGear 38-inch model is priced at US$1,999.99 (Rs. 1,38,840 approx.) and the 27-inch model is priced at US$499.99 (Rs. 34,710 approx.). Pre-orders for the 27-inch model starts on July 1st, 2019 in the United States and there is no information on the availability of the 38-inch model.
