Samsung today launched its most expected Galaxy M30s with a huge 6000mAh battery in India. We got to check out the smartphone, here are our first impressions. Also, check out the unboxing from our FoneArena Tamil channel.

Box Contents

  • Samsung Galaxy M30s smartphone 6GB RAM, 128GB storage version in Opal Black
  • 2-pin 15W (9V-1.67A / 5V-2A) fast charger
  • USB Type-C Cable
  • Quick Start Guide and Warranty information.

The M30s has the same 6.4-inch Full HD+ Infinity-U Super AMOLED display and is latest Exynos 7 Series 9611 10nm processor with Mali-G72MP3 GPU with up to 6GB LPDDR4x of RAM, up to 128GB UFS 2.1 storage and runs Android Pie with Samsung One UI 1.5 on top, same as the A50s that was launched recently. It doesn’t have NFC support or Samsung Pay support that is present in the A50s, but there is Samsung Pay mini.

The phone has a 16-megapixel camera on the front with Samsung SK3P8SP sensor with f/2.0 aperture.

It has dedicated dual SIM and microSD slots on the left, arranged in a single tray. On the right there is a power button and the volume rockers is present above it. On the bottom there is a 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C Port, primary microphone and a loudspeaker grill. There is a secondary microphone at the top.

As for the camera, it has triple rear camera setup which consists of a 48MP Samsung GM2 sensor with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 5MP depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture for Live Focus, 8MP 123-degree ultra-wide angle camera with f/2.2 aperture. You can also see the fingerprint sensor on the back which is quick to unlock the phone.

It has a gradient finish on the back, but it attracts fingerprints easily. Wish the company had bundled a cover for the phone since this is a huge problem in the M series phones. It is 8.8mm thick, mainly due to the huge battery, but the phone weighs 188 grams, even though it packs a huge 6000mAh battery.

It starts at Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version and will be available from Amazon.in and Samsung India online store starting from September 29th.
