BSNL sent in a note that it is launching special data plans for the Apple iPad. This makes total sense because the device is rumored to hit India this month.
Here is what the release says “BSNL today announced it will offer dedicated data plans for iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G in India beginning January 28, 2011. All data plans will be available without a contract, providing the freedom to activate or cancel a plan at any time.”
“We are thrilled to provide data plans for iPad in India,” said Shri Gopal Das, CMD, BSNL. “Our customized plan for iPad users will ensure users experience the best 3G and data services while enjoying iPad on BSNL’s high-speed network.”
While BSNL has not spoken about the exact tariffs for the iPad plans , there are unconfirmed reports that it is going to be around Rs.999 for unlimited usage .
So this news from BSNL adds some support for the Jan 28 iPad India Launch rumor. So if BSNL is going to provide a microSIM with unlimited data usage , I m sure iPhone 4 users would love to use it too !
