As lockdown restrictions across the country begin to ease, Samsung India has announced that it will be reopening their exclusive brand stores, that is, their Smart Cafes and Smart Plazas in a phased manner. The stores will follow the guidelines for social distancing and sanitization that have been set by the government.
Samsung will be reopening these stores in the districts that have even classified by the government as orange and green zone. Samsung India has also extended the validity of their Smart Club Points to 30th June, 2020 for those customers whose points will expire between March – May 2020.
To ensure strict compliance with safety standards and protocols, they have implemented various measures across all stores. These include:
- At any time instant, only limited customers will be allowed into the store to prevent crowding.
- Hand sanitisers will be available at all touch points, especially at the entry and exit doors.
- Samsung experience consultants and consumers at Smart Cafes will be provided with hand gloves
- Customers will be encouraged to use digital contactless payments and swiping machines will be sanitised before given to the customer.
- Employees are instructed to have staggered lunch times.
We can expect more stores and businesses to reopen soon as the lockdown restrictions ease up. It will be crucial for these stores to follow strict guidelines similar to Samsung’s approach to ensure customer and employee safety.
