Apple has officially announced its October 13th event. It says ‘Hi, Speed’ and has an Apple logo with a lot of circles around it. We can expect the new iPhone 12 models at the event as confirmed by the company at its earnings call. The company is expected to introduce several accessories alongside.
Even though earlier reports revealed four iPhone models, Apple is rumoured to introduce three new iPhone models, all of them featuring OLED displays and support for 5G networks. Among the 3 expected models, the one model will offer 6.1-inch display size option, while the top-end model will offer 6.7-inch display that are said to be called the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, and the smaller model with 5.4-inch display is said to be called iPhone 12 mini. Recent rumours revealed that the new iPhones will not come with 120Hz refresh rate display.
The Pro models are also expected to come with the new LIDAR sensor that was released on the newest iPad Pro models. These are expected to feature Apple’s A14 Bionic 5nm chipset, which was introduced in the iPad Air (4th Gen). Apple is rumoured to not includes charger in the box with the iPhone 12 and use simpler and cheaper board to keep the cost same as iPhone 11.
Apple is also expected to introduce AirPods Studio, high-end over-ear headphones, AirTags, Tile-like item tracking device, Smaller HomePod and its first Arm-Based Mac at the event.
The Apple event will begin 10AM PDT (10:30 IST) on October 13th and will stream directly from Apple Park.
