MediaTek Helio G96 with 120Hz FHD+ display, up to 108MP camera support and Helio G88 announced


MediaTek has Helio G96 and Helio G88, an upgrade to Helio G95 and Helio G85 SoCs in the G series. The Helio G96 SoC has support for 120Hz displays with up to Full HD+ resolution, support for up to 108MP cameras, has Cat-13 4G LTE modem, dual 4G SIM and VoLTE and ViLTE services and has Intelligent Resource Management Engine and Networking Engine. It features two powerful ARM Cortex-A76 CPU cores clocked up to 2.05GHz and six power efficient Cortex-A55 cores along with ARM Mali-G57 GPU.

The Helio G88 SoC has support for up to 90Hz FHD+ display and support for up to 64MP main cameras, a hardware depth engine for dual-camera bokeh captures, a Camera Control Unit (CCU) and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) and Rolling Shutter Compensation (RSC) technologies. The Octa-Core CPU features two Arm Cortex-A75 CPUs operating at up to 2.0GHz and six power efficient Cortex-A55 cores along with ARM Mali-G52 MC2 GPU.
