LG has expanded their UltraGaming product line into a new category with the launch of the first ever UltraGear GP9 Gaming speaker. It features 3D Gaming Sound technology, Game Genre Optimizer, 7.1 virtual surround sound, built-in mics, Hi-Res Audio certification and more.
The UltraGear GP9 uses LG’s 3D Gaming Sound technology with a specially-designed HRTF (head-related transfer function) algorithm to tailor a game’s audio according to genre. With its Game Genre Optimizer, users can switch between two modes of operation – an FPS (First person shooter) Mode and RTS (Real Time Strategy) Mode, and it features support for DTS Headphone:X.
Inside the GP9 there is a ES9038PRO Hi-Fi Quad DAC, which will offer balanced sound and reduced noise, and the speaker is Hi-Res Audio certified. Another function of the speaker is its built-in microphone with echo-cancelling voice chat technology that allows users to communicate in games without needing a headset. It has top-mounted control buttons, customizable RGB lighting, and a variety of inputs including USB-C, AUX, optical, and Bluetooth. The built-in battery life is rated for 5 hours on a single use.
The UltraGear GP9 Gaming Speaker will be available for purchase starting in September in South Korea and the United States as well as select markets in Europe for a price of 549,000 won (Approximately Rs. 34,539 / US$ 471).
