Google apps for iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 updated to add support for Focus mode, bigger widgets and more

Just as Apple has rolled out their iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 updates, Google has released new updates to their suite of apps to ensure that they work well with the new features of these operating systems.

To start with, Google has updated their apps to work with Apple’s new Focus mode. Google Maps, for example, will still let users know when they need to make a turn or if there are changes to their route. The Google Home app will let users know if there’s an unfamiliar face at their door, and reminders in Google Tasks that are set for a particular time will notify users when required. Other notifications that aren’t as important will go straight to Notifications Center.

Widgets on iOS and iPadOS 15 got a big update and Google has begun rolling out extra large versions of the Google Photos and YouTube Music widgets.

Lastly, when searching for songs on Spotlight, users will be able to directly play them in YouTube Music.
