Black Shark today announced its Black Shark 5, Black Shark 5 RS and Black Shark 5 Pro smartphones in China, as it had promised. All three phones feature a 144Hz 6.7-inch FHD+ flat OLED screen and the Pro model 10-bit screen from China Star Optoelectronics. The Black Shark 5 has Snapdragon 870, 5 Pro has Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and the Black Shark 5 RS has Snapdragon 888+ and 888 depending on the model.
All the three have built-in VC cooling, and the Pro uses “anti-gravity” dual VC liquid cooling system to suppress heat. Its “anti-gravity” orbital design is said to enhance the ability of liquids to “upstream”, and it is expected to achieve better thermal conductivity with a plate with an area of 5,320mm².
Both the Black Shark 5 and 5 Pro have a 4,650mAh dual-cell battery with two and three charge pumps respectively, and have 120W fast charging. The Black Shark 5 RS also has at 120W fast charging, but uses a dual-cell, dual-charge-pump and a slightly smaller 4,500mAh battery. The RS has a Z-axis linear motor, and the other two have an X-axis motor.
In addition to the standard models, there are China aerospace editions of 5 and 5 Pro that include special edition accessories, figures, meteorite necklaces and more.
