The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) website has revealed several upcoming and yet to be released Google Pixel phones. The model numbers for the phones are GX7AS, GB17L, GB62Z, and G1AZG, respectively. These model numbers are reported to be for Google’s future Pixel 6a smartphone.
According to 9to5Google, the above-mentioned model numbers all point to the same smartphone, the Pixel 6a. Also, the report assumes that Google has submitted separate model numbers and FCC listings for the Pixel series in subsequent years to ensure factors like the inclusion of mmWave on only some versions and phones with compatibility for somewhat different bands of bandwidth used around the world.
If these model numbers are for the Google Pixel 6a, we can expect it to be released in India as well, given the GX7AS model number was discovered on BIS in February.
The Pixel 6a, according to previous rumours, will include the same Tensor GS101 chip as the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, a 12.2-megapixel IMX363 primary camera, a 12-megapixel IMX386 ultra-wide camera, and an 8-megapixel IMX355 front-facing camera. It is likely to be announced at Google I/O, which is set to take place on May 11th and 12th.
