Google Docs gets multiple text selection for faster formatting

Google has made a big change to the way formatting works in Google Docs. With the latest update to Google Docs, you can now select multiple words or phrases and copy, paste, etc. on all of them at once. This makes formatting much quicker by getting rid of the need to make the same changes over and over, you’ll be more productive overall as well. Recently, Google updated Workspace with AI features.

To get started with the feature, the update has no administrative impact. Different desktop operating systems have different keyboard shortcuts for “selecting multiple sections of text” in Google Docs on the web. The latter helps you select headers and bold them all at once instead of one at a time.

Furthermore, the company has added a feature for Google Sites. Site editors that use the new Google Sites could now add full-page content from source codes, perhaps other websites or Google apps like Maps and Docs. Editors could originally only add such aspects in terms of a page. With this update, you have more ways to organize and show embedded information on your website.

Availability

Google says that this feature is starting to roll out today and will be available to everyone in the next few weeks, as the gradual rollout up to 15 days for feature visibility starts on May 25, 2022. All Google Workspace customers can use it, as well as customers of the old G Suite Basic and Business users.
