Update: Mivi has announced that it has sold 8000 units and stocked out on the products just hours after launch. In the first 10 minutes of the launch, the company said it has sold 1000 units of soundbars, which it says is the first brand in India to receive this immense response in the home audio segment.
Mivi has launched the Fort S16 and Fort S24, the company’s latest made-in-India soundbars, months after the launch of S60 and S100 models. These feature a fabric design, and matte finish, so that pairs perfectly with your TV or PC set, said the company. As the name indicates, the S16 offers 16W output and the S24 offers 24W output
With dual passive radiators, low frequencies are boosted for a balanced, powerful sound, so a subwoofer is not needed, says the company. The soundbars come with several input modes, including Bluetooth, AUX, USB and a microSD card, making users a comprehensive package for consumers who want to enjoy a cinematic experience in the comfort of their home.
The 2000mAh battery in the S16 and a slightly bigger 2500mAh battery in the S24 promise 6 hours of playback on a single charge.

The Mivi Fort S16 and Fort S24 are available from Flipkart and Mivi.com starting at an introductory price of Rs. 1299 and Rs. 1799, respectively today, from tomorrow. August 5th both the sound bars will be available for Rs. 1499 and Rs. 1999, respectively.
