Nothing Phone (2) will be manufactured in India


London-based consumer technology brand Nothing has announced that their upcoming smartphone, the Nothing ‘Phone (2)’, will be manufactured in India to cater to the demands of the Indian market. This follows the Phone (1) which was also made in India at a facility in Tamil Nadu.

Last week, the company confirmed that the Phone (2) has 3x more recycled or bio-based parts vs Phone (1). It also revealed that the Phone (2) has a bigger 6.7-inch screen, yet has a has SGS certified carbon footprint of 53.45 kg, over 5 kg lower than the Phone (1).

Nothing already confirmed Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC for the phone and also confirmed the phone will pack a 4700mAh battery, slightly bigger than the 4500mAh battery in the Phone (1).

The company said that it continues to expand its customer support in the region, to 230+ authorized service centres in more than 250 cities, as well as support via the Nothing India channels.
