Fairphone has unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the Fairphone 5, which the company claims is the most sustainable smartphone yet. This release is poised to revolutionize the smartphone industry by setting new standards for sustainability and fairness.
The Fairphone 5 has a 6.46-inch Full HD+ Dynamic 90Hz OLED display with a Pixelworks processor for image enhancements and adaptive colors. It has a punch hole at the center for a 50MP selfie shooter, and a dual 50-megapixel camera system on the back for normal and ultra-wide shots.
What truly sets this smartphone apart is its dedication to sustainability. Over 70% of its materials are responsibly sourced or recycled, including gold, lithium, and tungsten. Remarkably, the Fairphone 5 is 100% e-waste neutral, ensuring that for every phone produced, an equivalent amount of electronic waste is responsibly collected and recycled.
