Samsung Galaxy A25, the company’s next A series phone, surfaced on Geekbench listing recently with the model number SM-A256B revealing some of the specifications such as Exynos 1280 SoC, 8GB of RAM and Android 14.
Samsung is still using the Exynos 1280 SoC in the Galaxy M34 5G, which was launched in India a couple of months back, so this is not surprising. What is surprising is that the phone is expected to come with Android 14 and One UI 6 out of the box.
Samsung has started offering 4 generations of OS Upgrades and 5 years of Security updates even for mid-range phones, so this could get up to Android 18.
According to leaker Anthony (@TheGalox_) on X (previously Twitter), the phone will come with a 6.44-inch AMOLED screen. Earlier rumours revealed a notch display and 90Hz refresh rate for the phone.
The phone is said to come with a 50MP main camera. Earlier rumours revealed a 5MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera for the phone, same as the A24.
The Samsung Galaxy A25 is expected to be introduced sometime in Q4, 2023. We should know more details in the coming weeks.
