LG Electronics has introduced its first foldable laptop, the ‘LG Gram Fold,’ in Korea. This laptop combines technology and design from the ‘Gram’ series.
The LG Gram Fold features a 17-inch high-resolution OLED touch display with a 4:3 screen ratio, offering impressive contrast and color quality, meeting 99.5% of the DCI-P3 color standard.
This laptop takes advantage of OLED technology, making it thin and flexible without the need for a backlight. When unfolded, it becomes a 17-inch screen, and when folded, it’s a 12-inch display, offering versatility.
LG Electronics has enhanced the user interface and connectivity for various uses. It can function as a 12-inch laptop when folded, a 17-inch tablet when unfolded, and an e-book reader. The hinge has been tested for durability up to 30,000 folds, and it’s lightweight at about 1.25 kilograms.
You can use a virtual keyboard or a Bluetooth keyboard when folded, and the screen adjusts when you fold it slightly, making it ideal for reading e-books or documents. It supports touch pen input and can be used as a single monitor when unfolded.
The laptop is powered by Intel’s latest 13th-generation processor, low-power memory, and has a 72-watt-hour battery. It features three stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support for immersive sound.

Pricing and availability
LG Electronics is selling a limited quantity of their Gram Fold, which is priced at 4.99 million won (USD 3700 or Rs. 3,07,800 approx.) for shipping. The first 200 customers will receive a discount, reducing the price to 3.99 million won (USD 2958 or Rs. 2,46,115 approx.).
In addition, they will also receive gifts such as a stylus pen, a Bluetooth mouse, a one-year MS Office 365 subscription, and a Gram Office value pack.
Starting from the 25th of this month, the LG Gram Fold will be available for purchase at 20 LG Electronics Best Shops across the country in Korea. Additionally, online sales of the LG Gram Fold will commence on October 4, 2023, via the LG Electronics Online Brand Shop.
