HMD begins smartphone production in Europe with Nokia XR21 5G Limited Edition


HMD Global has marked a significant milestone by commencing the manufacturing of 5G smartphones in Europe. The inaugural device rolling off the production line is the Nokia XR21, which is now accessible to Enterprise customers.

To meet the evolving needs of Enterprise customers, HMD has developed the capabilities and processes necessary for device production in Europe. The company emphasizes that each device undergoes rigorous software and malware testing in Europe.

Some Enterprise customers have also requested enhanced security measures in collaboration with IT security partners. Additionally, HMD has ensured that data is securely stored in the EU.

Nokia XR21 Limited Edition Smartphone

To commemorate the new manufacturing origin and security standards, a limited edition of 30 Nokia XR21 units from the European production line. These limited edition devices sport an exclusive Frosted Platinum color, unique serial numbers, and a certificate of origin, underlining HMD’s commitment to quality and sustainability.

Pricing and Availability

The exclusive Frosted Platinum Nokia XR21 Limited Edition is now available for 699 Euros / 599 GBP (USD 732 / Rs. 60,900 approx.) in the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Italy, and Finland on Nokia.com.

Additionally, the Nokia XR21 European Edition in Black, priced at 649 Euros / 549 GBP (USD 679 / Rs. 56,540 approx.), will soon be accessible in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Italy, and Finland.
