OnePlus has confirmed the launch of OnePlus Open, the company’s first foldable phone in India on October 19th at an event in Mumbai. This comes after several rumours and leaks. “Open” not only represents the new foldable form factor, but also OnePlus’s openness to new possibilities and potential, says the company.
Through the “Open for Everything” tagline, OnePlus said that it embraces all possibilities and continues to explore new opportunities with evolving smartphone form factors and an open mindset.
OnePlus founder has already confirmed that the OnePlus foldable has 31 components less, making it lighter, and it will be 37% smaller than the Find N2. The OnePlus Open and the OPPO Find N3 will share a similar design, he added.
Based on earlier rumours, the phone is said to cost USD 1,699 (Rs. 1,41,405 approx.), making it slightly cheaper than the Galaxy Z Fold5. We should know the India price when it goes official next week.
