Samsung Galaxy A15 could feature an OLED screen

The Samsung Galaxy A15 surfaced last month, revealing a flat design and a bump for the volume rockers and the fingerprint scanner on the right side. Now, a new report from The Elec in Korea reveals that the phone will come with an OLED screen for the first time in the A1x series.

To remind you, the Galaxy A24 which was introduced earlier this year featured an AMOLED screen, a switch from LCD screen in the Galaxy A23. The Galaxy A14 also featured an LCD screen, so Samsung is making the switch even in the budget A series models.

The Galaxy A24 was also initially planned as an LCD model, but the plan changed with an OLED screen, mainly due to the low price of the rigid OLED compared to the flexible OLED in more mid and top-end smartphones.

The render revealed an Infinity U notch for the display, 3.5mm audio jack, and thinner side bezels compared to the Galaxy A14. The phone is said to feature a 6.4 or 6.5-inch FHD+ 90Hz screen, Helio G99 or Exynos 1430 chip depending on the 4G or 5G model and a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.

We should know more details in the coming months, since the Galaxy A15 is expected only in early 2024.
