Acer Swift Edge 16 and Acer Swift Go 14 with AMD Ryzen 8040 Series processors announced


Acer has introduced two new laptop models: the Swift Edge 16 and Swift Go 14. These laptops aim to provide excellent everyday performance and AI features without compromising portability. Both laptops run on AMD Ryzen 8040 Series processors with integrated Ryzen AI technology.

These laptops run on AMD Ryzen 8040 Series processors, featuring Ryzen AI technology. They utilize AMD’s advanced “Zen 4” processor architecture, providing up to eight cores and 16 threads.

Support for AI features

Users can easily access AI assistance with a dedicated Copilot key. Acer’s AI solutions like PurifiedView and PurifiedVoice enhance conference calls, while QuickPanel simplifies video conferencing. The AcerSense utility app offers easy device management, and LiveArt utilizes AI for quick image editing.

Acer Swift Edge 16 (SFE16-44)

The Swift Edge 16 is designed for optimal performance without sacrificing portability. It features an ultra-thin and lightweight magnesium-aluminum alloy chassis, weighing just 1.23 kg and measuring 12.95 mm in height.

The laptop is powered by up to AMD Ryzen 7 8840U octa-core processor, coupled with AMD Radeon 780M graphics and AMD Ryzen AI. It offers up to 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 2 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD storage.

With a 16-inch 3.2K OLED display, narrow bezels, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, users can enjoy stunning visuals.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7 compatibility, HDMI 2.1 port, two USB Type-C ports (supporting USB4), two USB Type-A ports, and a MicroSD Card slot. Security features include Microsoft Pluton protection against cyber threats.

Acer Swift Go 14 (SFG14-63)

The Swift Go 14 is a powerful device suitable for demanding workloads. It comes with up to an AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS octa-core processor, AMD Radeon 780M graphics, and Ryzen AI, providing up to 60% improved AI performance.

The laptop supports up to 32 GB LPDDR5X memory and up to 2 TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. Users can enjoy smooth visuals on the 14-inch display with up to 2.8K OLED or IPS LCD options.

Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 6E compatibility, dual USB Type-C ports (supporting USB4), HDMI 2.1 port, Bluetooth 5.3, and a MicroSD card slot. Security is enhanced with a Microsoft Pluton security processor. The laptop also features a 1440p QHD webcam and a 100W battery with quick-charging capabilities.
