realme India has announced the upcoming launch of its new smartphone lineup, the realme P series, with the announcement made by realme Vice President, Chase Xu, on X (formerly Twitter).
realme ‘P’ series for India
This new series is specifically tailored for the Indian market, aiming to cater to the preferences of Indian consumers. Xu highlighted realme’s significant achievement of reaching 100 million smartphone shipments in India by 2023.
He emphasized the company’s commitment to democratizing advanced technology and enhancing the midrange smartphone experience by providing premium products at a compelling value.
realme aims to secure a prominent position in the mid-segment market with this endeavor, he added. The decision to introduce the P series stemmed from realme’s recognition of the evolving preferences of young consumers.
By challenging the notion that “Normal is Boring,” realme seeks to revolutionize the smartphone market with the P series, exclusively designed for Indian users and available exclusively on Flipkart.
According to Xu, the ‘P’ in the series stands for power, symbolizing the ability to overcome average performance, mundane design, and limitations. The promotional banners suggest that the P series will exclusively feature 5G-enabled models too.
While the company has not disclosed the exact number of devices in the initial P series lineup, it is anticipated that the P series will rival offerings like the POCO X-series, focusing on performance-oriented mid-range smartphones.
More details about the realme P series are expected to be revealed by realme in the coming days.
